Formed in the summer of 2006, Mister Orange is a collaboration of artists with the same common goal: to offer a refreshing approach to rock and roll. James Timmons, Kris Bennett, and Darren VanCorbach were together in the now defunct band KENO. KENO was a JetSpeed Records act for 2 years, which gave James, Kris, and Darren industry experience. Such experience gave them an opportunity to take an innovative approach toward their shared vision of creating an unfettered version of what they like to call a rock fusion. Drawing from such influences as Led Zeppelin to Queen, to more modern day influences such as The Used and Greenday, Mister Orange has allowed themselves to become inspired in order to write their own breed of music. Attaining Blake Mikulecky, Sam Berven, and Mike Kollmar did nothing but strengthen their diverse range of influences and solidify their aim toward their breed of inventive musical expression. They embody the main fundamental principle that is true rock and roll, and that is to never try to be anything but what they already are
