Nasty Jack was formed in the Spring of 2007.
We bascially were looking to do original rock music based on
Kieth Schmaljohn's years of playing in the southeasten US
club scene. Kieth is the talented one with hundreds of
original songs, both recorded and in his head. The band came
together in a strange way like most do, but Nasty Jack
started as a jam session and expanded fairly quickly thanks
to drummer Buddy Bentz and bass player John Hasson. These two
old rockers are pushing 50 and ain't close to calling it
quit's. They bring years of experience, knowledge and
downright solid rhythm to the group. The 4th piece of the
puzzle is Johnny Strait. Johnny has his lead guitar sound out
in the open and it was the finishing touch that has propelled
this 4 piece rock band on the Tri-Cities scene. Nasty Jack is
currently working on the original music that Keith has laid
for the foundation and we will soon be doing some recording.
In the meantime, the band pushes a interesting mix of B Side
covers from the 80's rock era, 90's grunge movement and a
splatering of guitar driven originals.
