RONIN, Ronin is no easy thing to explain..I dont say that to be mysterious or arrogant but merely the truth. The members of this group came to together as friends in 2002. We shared everything. If one of us had money we all ate. If one of us was shopping we all where getting something. No matter what we went through as individuals we where all there together. From court trials to performing in front of thousands of people, we where together. It became a family before anything else, people knew us as..Ronin. The original concept of Ronin was men who went agaisnt the norm..You see in Japan when a man was a retainer(warrior) of a particular leader, he was bound by tradition to take his life is his master was killed. Wether in combat or by ritualistic suicide. The men who chose not to do this and make there own life where labeled RONIN. Men of great skill in fighting and intelligence, chose to live outside the box of what their society told them was right and proper. One thing we all had in common was the love of hip hop. It was/is in the blood that pumps through us. It spoke to us all on a deep almost spiritual level. We started freestyling every night for 2 years straight. I MEAN every night..for hours mastering our craft. I remember being so sick of certain instrumentals we had listened to for hours. Everything just fell into place, as a group we where working on music that was hip hop but at the same time outside of the box. Pushing our collective creativeity, never settleing for the mediocre but striving for classics. We all are deeply spiritual men, men of faith. We are men that live from the heart and live life to the fullest. When we write music it comes from our heart and soul. The emotions that run deep with every situation comes out in our music as well as the truth of who we are. This IS OUR CANVAS on which we paint...........Life
